1. Introduction
The Promotion of Access to Information Act, No. 2 of 2000 (“the Act”), was established to uphold the constitutional right of access to information. This includes access to records held by the State, as well as information held by private entities when required to exercise or protect any rights.

3. The Act & Section 10 Guide
The Act allows individuals to request access to records held by private bodies, provided the information is necessary for the exercise or protection of a right.
All requests must follow the prescribed procedures outlined in the Act and are subject to the applicable fees and guidelines issued by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC).
4. Applicable Legislation
Our operations align with and adhere to the following legal frameworks:
- Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002
- Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008
- Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA)
- Copyright Act 98 of 1978
5. Categories of Records
In accordance with legal and operational requirements, we maintain the following types of records:
- Operational Records: Financial documentation, system architecture, and proprietary intellectual property.
- Client Records: Consultation details, service agreements, and transaction histories.
- Personnel Records: Employment agreements, internal procedures, and administrative documentation.
6. Request Procedures
To submit a formal request for access to information:
- Complete the official request form available from the SAHRC.
- Submit the completed form via the email address provided in Section 2.
- Provide sufficient detail to clearly identify the requested record and establish the legal basis for the request.
All requests will be processed in accordance with the timelines, procedures, and fees outlined in the Act.
